This will be a quick post as I'm supposed to be asleep right now so I can work all night long. Shame on me. It's been a while, though, so I thought I'd post really quick about a few things:
1. I have a car! It's very pretty and a stick shift. Can you imagine me driving a stick? I took to it surprisingly fast, though. My car is a 2009 Hyundai Accent hatchback. I'll post pictures eventually.
2. I cut my hair! Mom got her hair cut, so I decided I might as well do so also.
3. I went to Lagoon with the girls and Jeff yesterday and remembered to take my camera! Wahoo!
Lagoon was fun. We went to Lagoon-A-Beach, but it was a bit nippy and then got downright cold, so we changed into normal clothes and went throughout the park.
Afterward, we went on a few kiddie rides as Jeff took our swimming things back to my car.
We even convinced Adelle to ride the white roller coaster! Here's a picture of her before:
She was terrified the entire time and I thought maybe she would die of fright. I've never seen someone so scared. She screamed the whole way. But she did survive, which was good. She's a fun niece. This is her smile of triumph afterwards:
Then we went on the Merry Go 'Round. Jeff and Adelle rode rather tame horses. Lydia and I went for exotic animals.
I named my rooster Ernie. He was fast.
Lydia decided she wanted to go on the Spider, as she'd never been before. We tried to convince Adelle...but it didn't work. So, Jeff and Adelle went on Wild Mouse and Lydia and I went on the Spider. She was a little nervous when I told her there were spiders as decoration...but realized they weren't scary when she saw how fake they looked. She liked the Spider, though it was a bit freaky riding up the hill facing backwards.
We met up with Jeff and Adelle and swapped. Lydia and Jeff went on the Screamer (I don't like that ride) and Adelle and I went on the Wild Mouse again and Music Express.
She had no qualms about squishing me.
We decided to take Sky Ride to the other side of the park. Boy, was it windy! I was attacked by a tree!
The girls and Jeff went on Paratroopers. I was wearing sandals so I couldn't. :(
It started getting really cold, so we decided to only go on a few more rides and then call it a day. We went on bumper cars and the two haunted houses. I had no idea they scared Lydia so much, but she couldn't keep her eyes open the whole time!
Both my nieces enjoyed smashing into me with their cars. I hit Jeff pretty hard, so I understand why they wanted to gang up on us "old" folk. Adelle drove all by herself. She was excited to have a car to herself.
It was super fun! I'm glad I was able to spend time with my nieces. I can't wait to go with them again!
